- Your television is tuned to the same numbered HDMI input to which you linked your Chromecast. On most remotes, you can do this with an input, Source or Menu button. Perhaps you have to cycle through a few inputs before getting the appropriate one. (E.g. PC, Video, VCA, HDMI1, HDMI2, etc.).
- Follow the same steps, as shown in the diagram below.

- If you still unable see the Chromecast home screen on your television, try your other HDMI ports of your television.
- If you seeing the Chromecast loading screen ("Chromecast" with a rotating Chrome logo) but the home screen is black, then you may struggling with HDCP (High-bandwidth Digital Content Protection) with your television. This issue is easily resolved by rebooting your television. Turn off your television, unplug it, turn on everything and try again.
- If your eyes catch a black screen or just a few colored dots while you powering on the Chromecast, the reset button may be stuck. The reset button is the only button on this streaming device itself. In this case, try unplugging power via Chromecast and press the reset button a few times to unstick it. Once you see the reset button working, you should feel it click in when you press it and hop back when you remove the finger or thumb. Once the reset button is loose, you need to set up the Chromecast as normal: plug it into the television’s HDMI port and link the power cable.
